To sideload apps onto my Android TV I have mainly been copying the apks via the Cloud. It was pointed out to me (thank you Byron!) that PushBullet would be much faster. So I sideloaded PushBullet (via the Cloud) and installed it onto the TV to test file transfers:

The free versions allows transfer of file sizes up to 25 MB. PushBullet has a cool feature to be able to pull file transfers between devices on the same Network, which was new to me (I have not used PushBullet the last four years, as I don't use my mobile phone very much, and thus notifications have low priority for me). Sadly the transfers are not always successful - have not managed to work out why. See red circle with exclamation mark! |
